We believe that learning a foreign language is best done under the guidance of a teacher with a high level of spoken proficiency. Our schools use the services of the language team at School Improvement Liverpool (SIL), who provide trained language teachers for a scheduled weekly lesson. Apart from teaching expertise, SIL offers curriculum materials and support for follow-up work and assessment. 

To improve the curriculum materials provided by SIL, we have collated their school materials and had them professionally printed. These workbooks are used by pupils within lessons, with teachers also using a copy to develop their own understanding and to annotate in order to support the language teacher in keeping track of pupils’ engagement and development. Each half term, class teachers and MFL teachers meet to jointly assess pupil progress and plan any consolidation that is needed.
